Solihull Archers, originally called Lucas Bowmen, was established after the war in 1946.
In 1995 the club changed its name to Solihull Archers. We remain one of the oldest archery clubs in the Midlands.
The club is affiliated with Archery GB, which is the sports governing body in the United Kingdom. This means that all club members are eligible to take part in inter-club national competitions.
We are a mixed group of around fifty archers from all age groups. We shoot competitively indoors and outdoors. And we make sure all of our sessions are relaxed and fun.
The club offers beginners courses to people wishing to take up the sport, please see the Courses page for more details.
During Spring/Summer we shoot outdoors at the Old Yardleians Rugby Club in Shirley, Solihull.
In Autumn/Winter we shoot indoors at St. Leonard’s Church Hall in Marston Green. You can find directions for both of these sites on the Location page.
