Solihull Archers

About us

We are a mixed group of around fifty archers from all age groups, we shoot competetively indoors and outdoors, but make sure all of our sessions are relaxed and fun.

The club offers beginners courses to people wishing to take up the sport, please see the Beginners page for more details.

The club has implemented the Archery GB guidelines for "Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vunerable Adults" (PDF)

During the winter we shoot outdoors at the Old Yardleians Rugby Club in Tidbury Green, Solihull, and indoors at St. Leonard's Church Hall in Marston Green. You can find directions for both of these sites on the Location page.

The club, originally called Lucas Bowmen, was established after the war in 1946.

In 1995, after the links with the Lucas Group were broken, the club changed its name to Solihull Archers. We remain one of the oldest archery clubs in the Midlands.

The club is affiliated with Archery GB, which is the sports governing body in the United Kingdom. This means that all club members are eligable to take part in inter-club national competitions.
